Effectively Customizing Notes and Printing them in Outlook

The Ms Outlook application contains
a variety of highly effectual features like Calendar, Journal etc. Amongst this illustrious lineup of features, Notes at times seem to pale out by comparison. However Outlook notes can be used quite effectively to record your thoughts, meeting details, and share information with a team. In this article we would look at options to customize notes.

Customizing Notes

The basic changes in notes can be done by visiting the Option tab under tools. Once the Option screen opens up, in the first Preferences screen, click on the Note Options and change Color and Size as per your need. Once done your custom notes would come into picture. If you are looking to alter the size of a specific note then just try dragging it from the right corner.

Outlook provides you a host of other options related to notes. You can choose to hide the time on notes or mark specific color categories to notes.  To do so you need to open a note and in it click on the Note icon. On it you need to select Categorize and choose the option Choose a Color category. Based on your preference you can assign a color style of your choice.

Printing Notes in Ms Outlook

If you are regular user of Notes in Outlook, you may at times have attempted to print them. However you would be surprised to find that each of your notes gets printed on a separate page even it has few lines of content in it. Such a process can lead to wastage of paper and should be corrected. Go to the File tab and click on Print option. In the resultant screen, uncheck the option which mentions Start Each Item on a New Page and save the change. Once done your notes would print together. Incidentally if you are using HTML format to print the articles, you would probably find the option grayed out. If you change the Mail format to Plan text, you would find the option enabled.

An Outlook crash can risk your data stored in Notes

In the unfortunate event of an Outlook crash, the data stored in your notes may come at risk. To deal with such an eventuality you need to keep a pst repair tool like DataNumen Outlook Repair handy which is capable of tackling large PST files without breaking a beat. Moreover the tool is able to dig out emails of any format including HTML from a corrupted PST file. It apparently has the capacity to negotiate .mdf files and virtual machine disks with equal ease. Interestingly the tool can be used to locate PST files present in your system and works well as an e-discovery tool. Now if you ever experience a situation where your backup PST files stored in an optical media or flash drive have become inaccessible due to bad sectors then this versatile application can help you get back your important emails.
