During course of our work,
we may need to take screenshots to the showcase a scenario, error or explain the working of a feature. In cases where you need to send a screenshot across to a person over email, the process typically involves taking a screenshot, editing it in a graphics editor and then sending it over email. However with Ms Outlook, all the three steps can be achieved with the same application. Let’s look at how you can include screenshots in your email.
Specialized
Screenshot Feature in Outlook 2013 and 2010 iterations
While it
was always possible to embed a screenshot into an email in older versions of
Outlook, the latest iterations include a dedicated feature to handle
screenshots. To start with you need to go to the Insert tab in the menu options
and then click on Screenshots. It immediately displays a number of screens that
can be snapped up. This would include the Window of any application that is
running on your screen. Once you have zeroed on the screenshot you plan to
insert, you can then choose to edit it by using the crop feature in
Outlook. To do so just select the inserted
screenshot image and click on the Format tab and use the crop button. Once you
have adjusted the image to your taste you can send it as an inline image.
Now if
you are only looking to insert a specific part of the screen you can choose to
use the Screen clipping option. Using the screen clipping tool you can select
any part of the screen, be it be an image part in your wallpaper or a section
from your chat window. Whatever you select can get embedded into the Outlook
application right away. For example you saw a nice dress on a shopping website
and you would like to share the image with your friend. You can directly go to
the browser window, use the screen clipping tool to select it and then send it
via Outlook. Moreover you can even resize the image in a jiffy.
Keeping
your email data secured in case of an Outlook Crash
The Ms
Outlook application for all its exquisite features conceals a deadly flaw. When
its underlying PST files gets corrupted the data contained in them including
emails may come at risk and the application may crash too. In order to secure
your data, during an Outlook crash, you need to immediately use a pst repair tool
like DataNumen Outlook Repair. This remarkable program is capable of dealing
with most extensively compromised files and can also be used as an e-discovery
utility. Moreover if you have experienced an Outlook crash due to a bloated PST
file; then to avoid a repeat, the recovered file can be broken into smaller
manageable parts with the help of this tool. Last but not the least the tool is
designed to work with all Outlook editions in vogue including the 2013
iteration.
