Now if you are using the Ms Outlook email client for managing leads then you would be surprised to know that it comes with potent features to help you rate your leads. Let’s see how this can be achieved in the latest iterations of the Outlook client that comes loaded with the Business contact manager feature.
Rate your leads in the Business Contact
Manager
To start with you need to visit the Sales
tab in the Business Contact Manager in Outlook and then head to the Leads
option. Under it, just select any record and double click on the same. Next in
the record go to the Lead Score area and check the option that marks the lead
meeting the specified criteria. With every criteria option that you mark the
score or rating of a lead would go up while leaving the boxes unchecked will
bring down the score.
Now you can also customize the basis for
scoring by visiting the Scoring Criteria choices. Based on the importance of a
parameter you can give it a weight say normal or high. The weight you assign to
specific criteria makes an impact in the overall score of a lead. Outlook
offers you several choices to play with. In some case you may choose to put a
fixed lead score to override the existing scoring system. Moreover when you are
customizing the lead score you also get the flexibility to check markers like
“Referral” or “Contacted us initially” to add pointers to specific leads. Rating
leads can prove to be very useful in streamlining your marketing process. The
highest scoring leads can be assigned to your best resources and can be focused
upon.
